These enhancements are designed to give publishers more flexibility, smarter tools, and deeper control over how their inventory is monetized across channels. Here’s what’s new:
1. Compliance Upgrade: Age Consent Integration
Bidmatic has enhanced its header bidding system to comply with new legal regulations by integrating age consent signals across all auction components, including adapters and wrappers. This ensures full compliance with legal regulations by passing age verification data across all auction components. As a result, publishers can safely and selectively display 21+ ads (e.g., gambling, alcohol, tobacco) to eligible users only, while fully complying with local regulations that permit this type of content..
2. New Macro Templates for Pre-Roll and Post-Roll Campaigns
We’ve introduced customizable macro templates for preroll and postroll video ads, specifically designed for Google Ad Manager integrations. Users can now generate fully formatted content with all required macros automatically. The functionality is already live for the HeroVideo player, with an intuitive statistics dashboard for tracking preroll and postroll performance. Additionally, we now track pre/post-roll performance and export this data as ORTB2 metadata (a standard for real-time bidding communication) to support more transparent reporting and monetization.
3. Advanced Autoplay Monetization with SmartVideo Player
Bidmatic has launched a new, configurable autoplay feature for SmartVideo player to maximize monetization:
- Control the percentage of autoplay-enabled sessions.
- Set sound configurations and control how often ads start muted or with sound.
- Detailed targeting integrated with Google Ad Manager, unlocking higher CPMs by signaling in-stream or out-stream placement depending on configuration.
- Full tracking of autoplay, mute status, placement, and volume allowance.
- Smart analytics for advanced reporting on autoplay performance and sound permissions.
These enhancements allow publishers to fine-tune autoplay behavior, increasing viewability, user engagement, and revenue.
4. Detach Mode for HeroVideo: Enhanced Viewability & UX
A new Detach Mode has been added to the HeroVideo player, enabling the player to stay visible when users scroll down the page, significantly boosting ad viewability and improving user experience. Key features include:
- Fully configurable detach settings (visibility thresholds, player size, close button position, mobile-specific adjustments).
- Seamless admin panel management.
- Improved UX design that prioritizes minimal user distraction.
This feature is proven to increase revenue by enhancing ad viewability and maintaining audience attention.
5. Buyer-Level Bid Floor Control Now Available in Wrapper
Bidmatic has introduced Buyer-Level Bid Floor Filtering within its wrapper logic to give publishers more granular control over auction pricing. This new functionality allows the system to:
- Receive and apply the min_bid_price parameter individually for each buyer.
- Automatically filter out any bids below the specified threshold before the auction begins.
- Default to accepting all bids when no bid floor is provided.
This update gives publishers precise financial control over specific buyers, enabling strategic revenue optimization and more effective demand partner management. A powerful tool for shaping your monetization strategy with greater flexibility and efficiency.
These updates represent Bidmatic’s ongoing commitment to helping publishers stay compliant, agile, and profitable. We’re continuously investing in the tools that give our partners a competitive edge. Stay tuned – more innovations are on the way
